INDIANA GLASS MODERNE CLASSIC YELLOW & RED ART DECO CONSOLE BOWL

Description

For your consideration is a beautiful glass console bowl by Indiana Glass Company. This bowl was part of their Moderne Classic line which was introduced circa 1930 and was manufactured into the early 1940's. Although I haven't seen this particular painted pattern in my reference books, it is definitely an Modern Classic shape. Bowl is painted bright yellow with red art deco and Asian ships design and silver overlay around the edge. First photo is the correct color of yellow on bowl. Very bright lemon yellow. All other photos seem to have the color more faded and is not true to the real color and does not do it justice. Measures approximately 3 inches tall, 12 1/2 inches in diameter at the rim of bowl and 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. Wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Has a few light scratches here and there and some wear on the silver overlay at a couple of the points but not all over. Most is still intact as is the red painted design. On the bottom of the bowl you can see where the paint ran down the back during production. Photos are not great but best I can do. If you need more photos I'll see if I can do better if requested.
