Selmer USA Alto sax.
Vintage 1980’s Pro Model USA manufactured saxophone. Model number AS200.
These instruments were the pro model produced in the USA, counterpart to the Super Action series produced in France during the same time period. It doesn’t have the same bells and whistles as the French counterpart, but still has the classic Selmer sound!
I bought this as a backup horn, but I no longer need it; trying to recoup part of my investment in the horn.
It doesn’t look awesome, as there is a fair amount of lacquer wear, but it sounds great! I used it a few times when my main horn was in the shop, worked very well! There are also a few dents, as pictured. Solid horn with the classic Selmer sound!
A pro line Peter Ponzol C* (C star) mouthpiece is included in the sale. It’s like a Selmer C*, but better, some say.
Includes Rico SJ13 neck strap with spring clip, neck-receiver end plug, and original case in decent shape.
Recently checked over by a sax tech, everything functions really well!
